Preening Gannet on the Yorkshire Coast

A northern gannet carefully preens its feathers, maintaining the condition of its plumage after time spent flying and fishing at sea. This elegant seabird is a familiar sight along the East Coast of Yorkshire, where the dramatic coastline provides a wonderful setting for bird and wildlife photography.
